Our Halloween

We had a Pirate! Arrr....And a Knight. Just ignore the others behind him.
And Captain Moroni.
We forgot to get a picture with them all standing next to each other. We also forgot to get a picture with them all next to their pumpkins that they carved. I told you it was a bad year.
Any way. They all got to carve their own pumpkins. Trenton would not even stick his hand inside his at all. I had to do it for him. Not my favorite part of carving pumpkins either.
This is Teagan's. His is the only one so far that was able to get a picture taken with his. The other two were still carving at this point. They all did a great job too. They all designed their own face.

James' Birthday

We went on a hike for James' birthday this year. It was pretty nice. It was a little cold though. Trenton however didn't think that that applied to him. He's the only one without a coat. I guess that 's what I get for letting him dress himself to go outside. I did tell hi
m to get a coat. But of course, my good advice falls on deaf ears.
Tyler wanted me to take some pictures of him posing. So I got some of the other two also. I'm not the best, and the big coats detract from it all, but I think they turned out pretty good.
I don't know why Teagan is pouting here. He was having a great time. He just gets like this every once in a while. I think it's because I was taking pictures of the other two and not him at the time. Be patient little one. I'll get to you!
Tyler found this great stump to stand on. It was pretty comical trying to get them all to stand on it. James is just out of camera shot waiting for one of them to biff it. Luckily that didn't happen.
They found a skeleton of something. I don't know what it was. I didn't look at it too closely. They thought it was great. They all stared at it for about five minutes. Boys. What can ya do?
Then we came home and had homemade peach pie. With our own peached that we jarred last year. It was delicious! Tyler took this picture. He's getting to enjoy getting so big! He's just doing it way to fast!

Empty Nest Blues

I will admit that I am glad to have my house back and have some peace and quiet. However, I do miss my children, their spouses, and my 10, soon to be 11 wonderful Grandchildren. Halloween was fairly quiet around here with just Dad and I. Shelly must get her views of Halloween from her mother. Boooo Hummm Boooo!!!!! I do like to see the kids dress up but I don't want to be the one to do the dressing. I have been looking at Shelly and Tara's blogs as well as this one. I don't have any pictures to add, nor would I know how to add them but I thought I might join in and leave everyone a message. I must say that I think the reason I have not been too active in checking out the blogs is because if I do then I see all that I am missing. On the other hand I can see what you guys are up to and it is so nice to see all the pictures and stories about what is happening in your life. I will try to check in more often.
