Mom's Birthday

I tried to capture as much of Mom's birthday as I could. The only thing I didn't get was the new boat. It's debut into the waters will be tomorrow. I haven't seen it yet, but Josh saw it from the road as we drove past the boat store and he happened to see Dad pulling the cover off of it. Before they decided to for sure buy the boat, they bought kid-sized life jackets at Cabela's in Idaho. I think Dad had this planned for quite a while.

This is Mom's new car. It's a Lexus SUV. Don't ask me what the model is. All I know is it's the gold one and it's fully loaded. Unfortunately, the battery is having some issues but it should be back on the road soon.

We got Mom a few things to put on her desk in her new private office.

I love watching Mom laugh. Here she is opening her "pigsaw juzzle" from Dad. She had a minor slip of the tongue.

Dad also got her some new bears on a boat. Appropriate, I thought.

Mom's cake. I slaved over it for minutes as I bought it at Walmart last night. The things we do for our mother.

After we sang to Mom, Emma decided to grab a candle and get wax all over herself. Good thing Grandma was there because Emma's mom didn't do much but roll her eyes.

Josh kept trying to dodge the camera. Got'cha now, big boy!

Mom and me. I love Mom!

Happy, Happy

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!! I hope you have a great day! I love you and miss you so much!!!!

We're Back!!

I hope everyone had a great Easter this year. Ours was pretty good. The kids had lots of fun. We went to a primary Easter egg hunt on Sat. We were late, so the boys didn't get anything. But it was at a park and they were okay with just playing on the toys. Sunday our morning was really rushed. Their church starts at 9. To me that's really early. I like the extra hour that we get here starting at 10. After church was much better. Kirk had a GPS egg hunt for us big kids. That was really fun. He went around town and planted little pieces of paper that gave us our next clue and the only thing we had to help us find them was a GPS. It was out-laws vs. in-laws. Us in-laws won. It was fun. We got movie tickets out of it. Then we filled plastic eggs and hid them all over the front lawn for the kids to find. They thought that was great. We had to give Tyler some rules and limits since he is so much older then the others. He did really good with sticking to them. He even helped the littler ones find some.

We went and fed the ducks at the duck park. That was kind of a bust though. Those stinkin birds were not hungry. So they just chased some around that happened to fly out of the water. I really wish we had a camera that worked so that I could have taken some pictures. Maybe some day we'll be able to afford one. Unless someone just wants to get one for us. That would be great ;)

James thinks he did better on this test than the LA. We still haven't heard back from them. Probably won't since we haven't yet. But there is still hope!! It was so nice to be in the sun. And a big bummer to come home to all of this snow. We got stuck in our driveway trying to get to the house last night! I got emails from the Relief Society Presidency saying that church was cancelled yesterday so people could plow out their driveways! And on Easter they only had sacrament because of snow. It's a little crazy. But we are home and the boys are at school probably falling asleep at their desks. We got in a little late. About 12:15. Now it's laundry time and I really need to clean out my car but their too much snow!!

Easter in Montana

We had a nice Easter.

The Easter Bunny came.

Millie got a Bumbo. She usually likes it.

It might be hard to see, but the girls' dresses all match. There's a trick: match big girls and an infant.
Matt got a little airplane that landed on the roof. I guess Josh put him up on the roof easily enough, but coming down was another story.

Disney Details

Okay, I've updated my blog on the goings-on from our vacation. It took me all day to write it out. You asked for it, Lori. You want writing? You got it!

We had so much fun. Sometimes I thought, "Man, I'd love to make this an annual trip." Other times I agreed with Josh when he said, "We're never coming back here until Millie is 12." I missed you all. I wish we could've all been together. It was nice to see Josh and Melanie. They even took the kids so Josh and I could ride Indiana Jones together. That was really nice of them.

Anyway, just click here for the shortcut to the entries. I tried to break it down so it would be easy to read, leave, come back to, and pick up again. We'll see if it was worth the all day effort or not.
