Trent's birthday was Thursaday. I still can't believe he's six! Holy cow! Where does the time go?
Tyler made this for him. It's a pencil holder. I don't think it will ever be used for it's intended purpose, but it's the thought that counts. It has a picture of Tyler holding Trenton when Trent was just a baby. Sorry it's turned. I guess I'm still not so good at this.
We decided to have a family party on Thursday since he was having a friend party on Sat.
Trent said that he wanted jell-o for dessert. So I went online and looked at recipes. I found one for a fish bowl. I thought it was a good idea. It didn't dawn on me what a brilliant idea it was until I put the candles on. It turned into a pirates ocean. YAY me!!!
I figured out how to do the timer on my camera. So I used it on Trent's big day.Teagan was counting with James how many times it blinked the red light. He was getting really excited with it. Hence this expression.
For the big party, I made skull cupcakes. I only have a 12 count cupcake pan, so the rest was just a little cake. I needed it though, that's where the candles went.
They had a treasure hunt too! Tyler made the clues. I think they had a pretty fun time. When they found the treasure, one of them asked if they got to keep it. Of course, it was the goody bags!
Then they got to hit the pinata. James was having a better time holding the pinata then the kids hitting it I think. He put it right on top of Trent's head. It was pretty funny. The stinkin thing was so tough that Tyler had to come and start hitting it without the blindfold. Needless to say, it took up plenty of time.
These are all the kids that came. 3 are from church, and 2 are from the neighborhood. They were all saying "Argh" for the picture. Gotta keep the pirate theme. All in all, I think Trenton had a pretty good time.
